Graham Baker making pancakes from 3/8 SS tubing.
The former is constructed from disks of 3/4 inch particle board with a strip of steel screwed to the perimeter of each.

Pins are inserted as the coil is wound to prevent the tube slipping off the disk.

A tensioning brake is fitted to the lead-screw of the lathe. A pawl engages the motor-cycle sprocket to lock the spindle.

The result is a double-helix.
